Advanced Roofing Ontario is a certified IKO ShieldPRO contractor. The ShieldPRO program was initiated as a way to insure customer satisfaction while maintaining a high standard of quality sales and installation.

In order to be able to offer the ShieldPRO guarantee, a contractor must meet certain requirements when they install your roof. First, one of IKO’s top quality ice and water protection materials must be used. 15lb or 30lb felt underlayment is also required and a minimum quality in the shingles must be met.

The roofing must be installed on a dry, stable, clean roof deck and not include any of the roofing materials from the old roof. Some contractors use parts of your old roofing and you can guess the results. Attic ventilation must meet IKO requirements as well as local code requirements. Without adequate ventilation a roof can develop mold and mildew or buckle and warp, resulting in more expense for the homeowner and possible damage to the home.

The ShieldPRO contractor must install an IKO premium shingle with a limited warranty of at least 25 years and application must be done according to the printed instructions.
