The soffit section of your home is the underside of the overhang. This is a very important component of your home because it is the mouth or “Fresh” air intake of the attic space.

The attic space of your home requires fresh air in order to preserve plywood from “Dry” rot— and to help eliminate potential ice damming in the winter months. Building Code requirements have changed, your house may not be up to current standards—so additional ventilation may have to be cut. The Ontario Building Code requires that ventilation of roof must be equivalent —Formula :50% Roof + 50% eaves= Code

Fascia is the aluminum cladding that covers the wood fascia.—(Wood fascia is the component of your home to which the eaves-trough is fastened.)

Eaves-trough or “Gutter” is the drainage system of your home it channels the water to drainpipes which divert the water away from your home. Without eaves-trough’s foundation walls would be saturated and basements would leak. It is important to properly anchor aluminum eaves-trough to the wood fascia board—snow and ice put a lot of stress and weight on the eaves-trough.

We anchor all of our eaves-trough with a hidden bracket/hanger system, screw Fasten the bracket into the wood fascia at 24” on center. Thus giving the exterior of your eaves-trough a clean, neat appearance as well as a solid secure installation.
